The organizers of this exhibit might have used trickery on some occasions in order to `recruit' tribal people for the Philippine Exhibit. Some of the Philippines were not aware of their destination until they arrived in St. Louis. The trip was long and difficult, but in general, the `recruits' were well-treated and well-fed. | |||
