- Philippine Army Day. Secretary of War - William Howard Taft reviewed large military parade.
- Mrs. Frances Miller (Reid) Jones, wife of Breckenridge Jones, was a St. Louis society woman who died when her horses bolted & her carriage was hurled down a 20-foot embankment near the Boer War.
