  • An Endowment Fund for the benefit of an Historical Museum and Library, to consist of the Archives of the Louisiana Purchase Exposition Company .


1925[edit | edit source]

  • The Louisiana Purchase Historical Association Corporation was merged into The Missouri Historical Society, as Francis Davis had long intended.


September, 1934[edit | edit source]

  • DeForest Wireless Telegraph Tower, standing atop a hill in Creve Coeur Park overlooking the lake, was disassembled for the last time.


April, 1986[edit | edit source]

  • A handful of people met, under the leadership of founder Max Storm, to discuss the formation of a society with a mission dedicated to “preserving the memory and memorabilia of the Louisiana Purchase Exposition”.[1]


April 30, 1986[edit | edit source]

  • On the 82nd anniversary of the opening day of the Fair, the World's Fair Society held their first official membership meeting. [1]
